EA SPORTS FC 26: give your first career a team you understand
Inspect the squad before buying a star, choose one formation, and use a few matches to identify the actual problem. A workable season begins with a clear first eleven.

The transfer menu can make a new career feel productive before a ball has been kicked. You find an exciting forward, imagine the goals, and begin negotiating. Three matches later, the team is conceding because the midfield is empty and the replacement defender you need is beyond the remaining budget. The signing may be good. It simply solved a problem the squad did not have.
In EA SPORTS FC 26, a first Manager Career is easier to follow when the team has a recognizable shape. Start with the players already there, use a few matches to find the weak point, and spend money on that specific need. A modest squad you understand can make a more satisfying season than a collection of names whose roles keep changing.
Choose a club with a reason to stay
Pick a team you know or one whose situation interests you. Perhaps you want to stabilize a smaller club, develop young players, or manage a favorite side without replacing half the lineup. Give the career a goal that makes the ordinary matches matter.
Review the available career settings and difficulty before starting. FC 26's Authentic gameplay preset is intended for an offline football rhythm, including Career, while Competitive serves a different pace in head-to-head modes. Choose consciously so a video from another mode does not become your only expectation for how the match should move.
Play a friendly or opening fixture before making major slider changes. If the basics are unfamiliar, use the training and controls information to learn them. Altering several settings after a single heavy defeat can hide whether the problem was unfamiliar controls, difficulty, or the team's actual shape.
Inspect the squad as a set of jobs
Look at the likely starting eleven, the bench, and the players covering each position. Find out where there is depth and where one absence would force a difficult change. The reserve who can fill a necessary role may matter more over a season than the substitute with the highest overall rating.
Choose one formation that suits the available players. Read the roles and instructions instead of selecting a complicated setup because a guide labels it unbeatable. A formation should help you understand who supplies width, who stays available for a pass, and who protects the space in front of the defense.
